Lyon Dance VR
Dance and virtual reality get intimate… A selection of films in VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) that radically upheave disrupt how we look at images and offer viewers novel sensations. In the heart of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, savour a wide array of films to watch at your leisure, and experiment with a VR ballet directed by choreographer Fabien Prioville. At the Théâtre Nouvelle Génération – Ateliers Presqu’île, discover VR experiences to enjoy with friends.
To coincide with the Dance Biennale, the first European hackathon devoted to dance is being held: the Dansathon! Over 72 hours and in three cities (Lyon, Liège and London), creators from diverse backgrounds will gather: dancers, choreographers, designers, web developers, students, communicators… In a very short timespan, they will mix their knowledge and skills to explore new territories at the intersection of dance and technology. The aim is to imagine how technology can enrich dance and to engage new audiences.
